Nestled in the woods of Middle Tennessee, above the Caney Fork, Dreaming by the River Bed & Breakfast is the perfect destination for your quiet weekend or mid-week getaway. Whether looking for a romantic retreat, a welcome change from the hotel grind, or just a soothing change from the everyday, our beautiful vistas and private locale will fulfill your lodging needs for relaxing peace and quiet.

If you saw the Paramount movie, An Inconvenient Truth; you saw clips of the Caney Fork River. In the opening scenes Al Gore eloquently expresses the magic of the river, its ability to enthrall, captivate, and instill a sense of calm so overpowering that one forgets everything except the quite beauty the river offers. Find your sense of escape when you experience the Caney Fork up close and personal. We think you'll feel the spiritual respite and agree with Al Gore, "...It's peaceful; And all of a sudden it's a gear shift inside you and it's like taking a deep breath and going (heavy sigh) Oh yeah, I forgot about this." The country inn overlooks the river on bluffs of up to 40 feet, providing the guest rooms with commanding views of the Caney Fork as it joins the Cumberland River. Trails from the Inn go down to the old river road, which take guests on a leisurely shaded walk on a quarter-mile of riverfront. Over 5 acres of grounds host numerous areas to watch and enjoy the river, wooded, and pastoral views. Towering trees, which stretch towards heaven, line the river road. Families of deer and flocks of wild turkeys can be seen many mornings.
